Remove a green screen in DaVinci Resolve
DaVinci Resolve gives you two ways to key a green screen: the 3D qualifier on the Color page, or the Delta Keyer in Fusion. The first is quicker; the second is finer.
How do you remove a green screen in DaVinci Resolve?
The quickest route is the Color page: a qualifier in 3D mode selects the green, and the node's alpha output makes the background transparent. The background on the track below then shows through.

3D qualifier or Delta Keyer: which one?
The 3D qualifier is enough for flat green that's well separated from the subject. The Delta Keyer, in Fusion, gives more control over edges, green spill and semi-transparent areas.
With a flat #00B140 clip like Keyotte's, the 3D qualifier handles most cases in a few tweaks. If you're new to Resolve, start there; you can move to Fusion later for harder shots.
How do you use the Delta Keyer in Fusion?
On the Fusion page, insert a Delta Keyer node between the clip's input and output, then pick the background color with the eyedropper. Then adjust the threshold and matte cleanup while checking the alpha.
To add a background, bring it into Fusion with a Merge node, or keep the transparency and place the background on the track below.
How do you get rid of green edges?
Use despill and choke the matte slightly. The green fringe comes from edge pixels that mix subject and background.
If it persists, make sure the clip wasn't recompressed along the way: blotchy green is harder to key.
How do you place a background in DaVinci Resolve?
Put the background on V1, under the cut-out clip: once the alpha output is active, it shows instead of the green. You can then resize and move the subject in the Inspector.

Is Magic Mask better?
