Training video: put yourself in front of your slides
A presenter next to their slides holds attention better than a voice over a screen. No studio needed: film at home, then place yourself in front of your material in the edit.
How do you put yourself in front of your slides in a training video?
Film yourself to camera, cut out your silhouette, then place it above a recording of your slides in your editing app. You choose the size and position, for example bottom right.
Keyotte gives you your silhouette on flat green, with your voice; the edit happens in the app of your choice. The slides stay readable and there's still a face on screen, which feels more alive than a voice-over.
How should you organize the shoot?
Record the slides on one side (screen recording) and your talk on the other, following the same flow. A clap or gesture at the start helps sync the two.
Light your face from the front and keep the framing fixed: the cutout will be cleaner, and you can reuse the same placement in every video. See how to film for background removal.
How long should each video be?
Keyotte handles up to 10 minutes per video, which fits the short chapters common in online courses. Each video is priced by length: €4.99 up to 5 minutes, €9.99 up to 10 minutes.
| Chapter length | Keyotte price (VAT incl.) |
|---|---|
| up to 1 minute | €1.99 |
| up to 5 minutes | €4.99 |
| up to 10 minutes | €9.99 |
Which background when there's no slide?
A neutral one, plain or slightly blurred, that doesn't distract: attention belongs on the content. For internal training, a background in company colors ties the modules together.
To keep your real room but blurred, see blur a video background.
How do you keep a series of modules consistent?
Keep the same framing, light and on-screen position for the presenter in every module. Learners get used to a layout and focus on the content.
In your editor, build a template project with the presenter's placement, then swap only the green screen clip and the slides for each chapter.
Do training videos stay confidential?
Videos sent to Keyotte are deleted automatically 7 days after upload, you can delete them sooner, and they're never used to train a model. Details in what happens to uploaded videos.
For a shorter to-camera format, see talking-head video background.

Not in one go: Keyotte handles up to 10 minutes per video. Split the lecture into chapters.
Does my voice stay in sync?
Yes, the exported MP4 keeps the original sound, at the same length.

Do all videos need the same framing?
It's not required, but fixed framing makes editing faster and the course more consistent.
