What happens to the videos you upload to Keyotte?
Uploading a video means handing over footage of you or people close to you. Here's exactly what Keyotte does with it, how long it keeps it, and what you can do yourself.
How long does Keyotte keep my videos?
Uploaded videos and results are deleted automatically 7 days after upload. You can delete them sooner from My videos.
So remember to download your export before then: after 7 days, it can't be recovered.
Are my videos used to train an AI?
No, never. Files, extracted frames, masks and clicks are only used to produce your export.
The models used are published models (SAM 2.1 and BiRefNet), used as is; see how AI background removal works.
Where are videos processed and stored?
According to Keyotte's privacy policy, storage is on Cloudflare R2 in Western Europe, and processing runs on graphics cards at Modal, in the European Union or the United States depending on availability. The app runs on Google Cloud in Belgium, and the account database at Neon in Frankfurt.
Payments go through Stripe: Keyotte never sees card numbers.
Does Keyotte recognize faces?
No. Tracking works on shapes, from your click, with no facial recognition or identification of people.
If your video shows other people, you need their consent, as for any publication. People you don't click stay out of the result.
Do you need an account?
No. A guest session is created in your browser, with no identity data. An account (email or Google) lets you find your videos and receipts on another device.
Note: a lost guest session (cleared browser) can't be recovered. From My account, you can export or delete your data.
What should you do before uploading a sensitive video?
Trim the video to the useful part and check that no private information shows on screen (documents, screens, addresses). The less you send, the less there is to protect.
After exporting, delete the video from My videos if you don't want to wait 7 days.
